Vickie Singletary

a fulfilling revelation

This journey reveals the joy, the tragedy, the hope, and the victory as my testimony.

Vickie is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She and her husband, Allen, spent five happy years in their renovated early Lake Charles cottage before embracing the challenge of redoing a 70’s California style house complete with an indoor pool. This successful renovation with a Mediterranean and Caribbean flair has the addition of an art studio known as Studio V. This home with its gardens has become a sanctuary for inspiration and a wonderful place to display Vickie’s art.

Follow her bliss

Vickie’s artistic passion brings canvas to life through her unique techniques. The artist’s ability to develop texture and dimensions makes each work unique. She is extremely passionate about bringing freshness to each new body of work. Art enthusiasts together with interior designers throughout the country are presently enjoying and incorporating Vickie’s work in their private and professional lives.

Vickie is a wife and mother of three grown children, and she has four grandchildren.  The artist had put away her brushes for twenty-eight years. During that hiatus, her artistic passion flowed into other venues of expression such as interior designing, remodeling of homes, and creating beautiful gardens. Her heart has always been one of vision and creativity, a constant throughout her life.  After patiently awaiting the right time, Vickie’s visions began to flow, and she could “Follow her bliss”.

Wow!

Is the best way to describe that moment, for an explosion of spirit filled her heart and flooded her canvas with expressions of life. This wonderful passion has become an overflowing fountain of ideas and inspiration for her work. Vickie’s niche seems to be expressions of texture and color. She considers her style to be abstract and expressionistic with a romantic flair. Even though she attended art school in her early twenties, she has allowed her abilities to be self explored. The artist loves to soak up every possible experience as she travels with her husband, Allen, the “wind beneath her wings”. She has traveled many roads, both of a personal nature as well as geographical. Her trips throughout the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands, Italy, France, and England have influenced new means of expressions within each work of art.

“Enjoy a part of me!”

The artist gives her gratitude to God for the inspirations that create her works of art, and she hopes that others…
